Tom Henderson, insider vicino alla serie Call of Duty, con un paio di post su Twitter ha diffuso in anticipo qualche dettaglio su Battlefield 6. L’insider afferma che nel prossimo capitolo della serie, previsto per il 2021, la mappe sono state disegnate per supportare un massimo di 128 giocatori anche se le playlist standard saranno pensate per i match a 64 giocatori (32v32). Sembra inoltre che EA e DICE stiano osservando attentamente Call of Duty Warzone e potrebbero replicare quanto fatto da Activision lanciando un battle royale free-to-play a marchio Battlefield.
